1971 GMC Longhorn Questions

I'm looking at a 1971 GMC Longhorn and have some questions. This Longhorn has the Z84 Custom Sport Truck Package and the Z_7 Sierra Grande codes on the spid. It also shows a 572 paint code which should mean white roof and all blue body ,right? With the Z84 and Z_7 Packages shouldn't this truck have upper and lower body side moldings? Also shouldn't the gauge cluster surround be blue? Now this is a Oshawa Canadian built truck forthe Canadian market ( side note: first for the Canadian market truck I've ever seen with Factory A/C ) so maybe some small things were changed. Any help would be appreciated and if someone has pic of a 572 truck please post. I know, some of the newness has left this one.

Re: 1971 GMC Longhorn Questions

My 72 Longhorn has the same interior setup as yours, also an Oshawa truck. Has only the bottom trim with the same two tone setup, I,ll post some pics later.

Re: 1971 GMC Longhorn Questions

you,re right , they have two different paint codes and two different writeups, yours was likely white cab and the rest blue. Other than that very similar trucks.

Re: 1971 GMC Longhorn Questions

My Longhorn did not have the lower side molding or deluxe two tone paint. I added them.

Re: 1971 GMC Longhorn Questions

On American Sierra Grande trucks the gauge surround would be chrome with wood grain overlay, and the glove box door wood grain. It would also have a headliner. 71 Sierra Grande's the tailgate handle is chrome.
