I feel ya. If it had a Aux transmission I would probably keep it a gasser, hell I may anyway. A 383 would motirvate it pretty well, also know where a 427 is.....

also remember you will need to change rear end ratio. years ago had a Ln-800 ford with a 391v8 &5+2, change it to a 671& 5 spd over, top speed was 41 miles an hour.in hi range.

Same reason my C60 with a 427 is staying a gasser.....and it STILL will likely be a 50 ish mph kind of deal.
