Re: Gmc 500
Most of them that I've seen were day-cab tractors

Re: Gmc 500
I've seen one in person I think it was a 700. No weird back window though on it though. That one is way nicer than the one I saw.

Re: Gmc 500
This truck has a Big back window cab with dividers welded in to make it a 5 window. Has anyone ever seen one of these? it looks like its a factory installation. it also looks like a pontiac V8 in it. It has some sore of shutters that open and close in front of the radiator.

Re: Gmc 500
It may have been a day cab tractor at one point and somebody added the flatbed to it.

Re: Gmc 500
I'm guessing the designer owned a bulldog.

Re: Gmc 500
We're looking at a variety of models in this thread. The rear window in the 500 I have seen before, but can't recall the accurate story. I know of a Cameo with that window deal. The guy told me but I don't remember the details. I thought he said it was a kit. Not sure what or why, because you can see the cab is stamped for the big glass.

Re: Gmc 500
Sierra-------Pontiac, Olds and Buick engines appeared in various models as the inline 6 cylinder engines were phased out. And shutters were an option, especially where trucks were in colder climates,[before thermatic fan drives].

Re: Gmc 500
Nice heavy truck. I'm betting that it is a Tandem Axle truck with that high GVW posted on there.

Re: Gmc 500
Actually, the numbers were posted incorrectly.
I see now that it has a GVW of 25,000 which is only a Single Axle. The 50,000 number is Gross Combined (Trailer weight included).
