'69 C50 School bus value?
My BIL's dad has a late 60's C50 school bus I've always admired - his dad converted it into an RV some years ago. I just became aware he'd be willing to sell it, and I may be in the market for a cheap 18-28 ft. camper, anyway. A quick cruise over CL doesn't turn up many other examples to judge approximate worth by, but here's what it's made of:
C50-chassis former school bus, aluminum body that measures 21 ft. to the back of the driver's seat 350 that was supposedly only 2,000 mi. old when parked/5 spd. + 2-speed diff. Body is generally straight and not extensively modified during the RV conversion. Not a ton of rust but it's been sitting outside here in KY for 10 years so the fender wells and front fenders are showing some. Side door and rear door windows are broken, but it's flat glass. RV interior wasn't too badly done, but it's not pristine by any means and doesn't have any plumbing. Has a sink, stove, and A/C unit grafted into the roof above the rear (emergency) door, but no shower or toilet. Judging by what it is, that it's deteriorated to some extent, has not run in 10 years, and will need new tires right off the bat, I'm not seeing any more than $2,000. Am I very far off? Sorry, no pics yet.

It's hard to say even if you had pictures, but so far it sounds like $2000 is a little too much in my opinion.
Also double-check the Trans and Rear. Those buses usually didn't have a 5 & 2.
