Selling a c40
I'm asking what should I ask for my one of my c40s. It's a 69 with 106k miles 292 straight 6 and 4spd. Runs really good and has a 12ft dump flatbed. I have a friend who wants it. I used the Truck as a donor truck for my c40 I'm restoring. Just what should I ask for it

Re: Selling a c40
Drivetrain doesn't add much value unless its a rare 427 model. Body/interior condition and rust really impact it though. Functionality of accessories also helps.
Because I have no clue if the dump works, has any hydro leaks, or chassis condition, I'd say ~2000-2500? |

Ok thanks I put all of the rusty panels on it and the dyno works good.

Re: Selling a c40
Truth be told, these trucks are still good work horses. Don't see a lot of them around, but let me tell ya--every pre '75 Chevy medium duty I see around town is still working; not a collector truck.
Function will trump aesthetic shape: you will most likely sell this truck to someone who's going to work it, not rebuild it. Highlight its usefulness and heavy duty accessories for jobs when writing your ad. |
