Question on the angle strip on wood bed

I've search on here and on line and can't find help on installing the angle strip on my 67 Step Side..My body man has never installed one..Everything else looks manageable but if we put the angle strip in with the bolts (to the floor), what keep's it flush against the bed side..Weld?? We know some angles are welding in but I see a lot of pics showing the angle bolted to the finished floor but Can't find how just the angle was installed..
Thanks!!

Re: Question on the angle strip on wood bed

Jim-bob, the angle strips were spot welded at the factory along the lower bedsides. when you purchase new angle strips you can get bolt on or Weldon. if you already have them you either plug weld them on or you could drill holes in the bed side of the angle strips and bolt them on. I hope this helped you out....Casey
