More Wheel Fun
So I'm getting ready to say goodbye to the 16.5 wheels that came with my truck
I decided on the black powder coated Wheel Vintiques 82 series. I bought two 16x8" w/ 4" backspacing so I could fit them on my truck and get a better idea about the whole project. Here's what I learned: * I'll need to get new center caps because the ones that I have are too big in diameter and don't fit the new wheels. The new center caps will need to be able to accommodate the 4" hub on my Dana 60. * I initially figured I'd put the 8x16" on the front and run 10x16" on the back but now I've found that the 8x16" actually look just about right on the rear. The 10x16" have a 5" backspacing so it sounds like they'll stick out an additional inch on the inside and outside. The inside looks like it will clear but I'm not so sure I want the outside to stick out any further than the 16x8" do. I don't know the width of the wheels that are on the rear now but they have 5 3/4" back spacing and they're running BFG 33x16.5x12.50 tires and those look just right to me. Can I hear from anybody who's running a 10x16 wheel w/ 5" backspacing on the rear and maybe see a pic or two?
