Help with side windows

I need help with side windows, I have a new crank regulator in the door and the problem is the window will not roll up all the way. I did adjust the part in the door up to its limit and that did help but not enough, any ideas?

Re: Help with side windows

Did you make sure that one or more of those screws aren't too long and catching on the window mechanism? There isn't a whole lot of space in there for things to pass each other.
I'm thinking that the original screws weren't quite a half inch long.

Re: Help with side windows

I have the same issue with mine, but looks like mine may not be as bad. After trying about everything, I think the solution will have to be cutting a pie shaped piece out of one of the arms and welding it back together to change the angle to push it up more. Comparing to my original, I think it's a poor quality reproduction.

I'm thinking of maybe making the slots longer if Mr48s idea is not the problem.

Re: Help with side windows

just throwing this out, do the regulators work on either doors?? could it be that having the wrong regulator won't allow the window to roll all the way up??

I have had the same issue with aftermarket regulators. It may also be the arms are a bit shorter.

Can the repros be modified? Or is there a supplier that makes repros that fit?

The regulators are marked left and right.

If all else fails I will cut and modify the arms, and I believe they all come from the same over seas manufacture.

Re: Help with side windows

Ok, had to modify both regulators by adding 1" of steel and pie cutting both arms to make this work, You think with the cost of these things they would work.
I had added the steel after this photo, The window was still too low but now all is good.

Same problem with my 47 thriftmaster. 1/8th gap on top, both sides.
