Help me figure out how my '69 C10 was lowered
Hey folks --
Second post on the board, and I'm here looking for help. There will probably be a lot of that coming from me so I thank you in advance! I'm posted a few pictures from underneath my truck -- it's been lowered, and I'm not sure how. I haven't been around stock trucks enough to know what to look for. I'm interested in knowing just of of curiosity, but also because I may want to go back to stock height some day. So -- what do I have here? What's been changed to lower this truck? Let me know if I need to take different/better pictures, take a wheel off, etc. Here's a link to the album with photos. |

It looks to be just drop springs. They look to be recently installed. See if you can find a part number on them somewhere and we can help determine the amount of drop by that.
The spindles appear to be stock height.

Thanks for your reply -- if that's true then going back to stock might be easy. I'll crawl around and see if I can find anything if it ever quits raining... which with the tropical storm rolling in, might be labor day...

I agree. Looks to be maybe a 2"/4" drop at the most. Putting stock springs back in would be pretty straight forward.

I haven't found quite the right angle on a front one yet but I know a little more than I used to now.
