STC Fasttrac soft top issues?

So I found a brand new never installed STC fasttrac for my 1971 K5 4x4 and just wanted to know if anyone knows of any issues with them before I buy it? I realize they are out of business but for the price it seems hard to pass up compared to a new Softopper. I already sold my hardtop because it was is in bad shape so I need a top anyway plus I live in California so its not gonna see to much rain.

Re: STC Fasttrac soft top issues?

I purchased a very lightly used STC for my K5. My only issue is that I think it could have been designed a bit better regarding how it fits around the back upper corner of the driver and passenger windows. With the window rolled up there is a bit of a gap. No big deal but could have been designed better. Other than that, I'm very pleased with mine.

Thanks for the pic, do you think there is anything that can be done different during the install to help that issue? I've read a few other people's opinions saying that they had to do some adjustments to get them to fit better.

Re: STC Fasttrac soft top issues?

I have an STC Fastrack top. I really like it but it does leak a bit around the door windows. I don't think there is much that can be done to help the fit around the windows. I've also had some of the stitching on the zippers pull loose which can make it hard to put the side windows on.
