Re: Not sure of the Year
Not everybody wants to go back to stock. That truck is worth $2500 easily, if it's not a rotten basket case.

Re: Not sure of the Year
I see these trucks all the time out here on the road and for sale in southern california. I dont care what its missing or what has been added. Bottom line is its a short bed bbw with a v8. That truck out here where im located, would sell for 5000 all day long as long as its not rotted to death

Re: Not sure of the Year
My offer was because of what usable parts I saw. There is a reason why that truck is sitting and rotting away, the owner most likely is tired of dumping money into it and can see that a hole lot of money is needed to get it back to a rep presentable looking truck as it should be (my .02). People do what they do to personalize there things, I get that----but when a Vehicle gets to a point that it need a hole lot of lov'en which results in dumping a ridiculous amount of money into it then its time to chop it up and sell off what you can. People now days put a ridiculous amount of money on that old rusty part just because others want/need that part that's called **GREED** plain and simple. It is a shame that if we want that old rusty junker to get back on the road we have to spend more then we would have spent on a new Truck. To many people put a ton of money into there Truck and just look at it and never use it for what it was intended for in the first place. I don't like to see these/our trucks in a brand new shape in a car/truck Show with a dozen trophies around it with the owner standing around boasting about it and never having ever used it as a truck should be used for. That's a Dog & Pony Show. There is your $75,000 truck and that's why that old rusty part sells for 100 X's its real value.

Re: Not sure of the Year
A '64 - '66 SWB Fleetside bed with four straight sides, which this one appears to be, that hasn't been used to haul boulders or whatnot is worth every bit of $500.00 just by itself. That is, if you can find one. And we haven't even talked about that BBW cab yet. just say'n.

Re: Not sure of the Year
Personally I wouldn't want to own a stock truck, but I like them and appreciate them. I also wouldn't own a totally slammed truck, but I like them and appreciate them. I like my truck somewhere in the middle, but it doesn't have to be perfect for me to appreciate and love it. Fixing up these trucks is what this hobby is all about. Do what you want with your truck, but I don't see any reason to criticize other members for doing what we want with ours.
There is just a big difference between what you would value this truck at for your own needs and market value. I don't think to many people would view the seller as being greedy if they asked $2500-$5000 for that truck. I really don't see any major flaws in the pictures that would worry me that much. Of course I wouldn't lay my money down until it was further inspected, but I was looking it sure would peek my interest. Just my .02
