Transmission Cooler Line

How far does your transmission line screw into your radiator on the bottom line? Mine keeps leaking where the line screws intp the radiator. New engine and radiator (old transmission lines) so I hope I haven't striped out any threads trying to get it to go in. Really hate to have to replace the steel lines right now until I get it a little further in the restoration process, I need to move it around my garage and yard so I need to be able to crank and move it but would rather not till this line is fixed.

It's not about tightening those down a lot. The seal is made with the flare. It looks like that line is bent, so it may have not seated flush before you started tightening it down. Never crank on those with a wrench, it's simply not worth it.

Consider cutting the metal line and using a short piece of hose. Or scrapping the metal lines and making a loop. If your just starting and moving around the garage, bypassing the cooler wouldn't hurt it.
