If you mean the hole on the exhaust manifold, that is a heat riser that goes to the thermostatic air cleaner. It looks like dryer tubing.

290 hp create motor going into my 1987 R10 ,, its already in the truck but I have no pic yet I know its not a go fast motor,,, but this will be my daily driver,,, am sure it will do a good job
