Apparently is I was rolling into the garage to fix my brakes one of the bolts that holds my exhaust manifold to the exhaust pipe flange fell out somewhere I need to know what the thread size and such as for that bolt so I can just go pick up two of them instead of taking out 1 to check the size

If you are learning to work on your own truck you need to learn bolt sizes it will save you a lot of time and money and wasted trips buying the wrong size.(Take a sample)

Re: Bolt size exhaust manifold to pipe???

Put a 9/16 wrench on one of the existing boltheads. If the wrench fits the thread size is most likely 3/8 - 16. The next smaller size would be 5/16 - 18.

Re: Bolt size exhaust manifold to pipe???

Grabbed a couple 3/8s. They are too big
Although the original bolts that were in it are 9/16 head they must be the ladder of the 2
Going to hardware store anyways so going to pick some up

Can use the ones I got for something else
