350 TPI and 700R4 set-up

I got this from a trade deal and went in a different direction on my build. I was told it was a good running engine and trans from a wrecked Z/28 with about 80K miles. Not sure about the exact year but early since they are not center bolt valve covers. Not sure about shipping but I think I could strap it to a pallet and find a trucking company if needed. You will need a harness, fuel pump and ECU at minimum. I already had my gas tank in and didn't want to buy a new one with a pump in it and got a great deal on a carbureted motor so trying to clean up the garage. I am in it $750.00 and that's what I am asking for it. I will try and answer any questions best as possible.

If it's from a Camaro and not center bolt it should be a 305.

Well, I learned something today then. Thank you. I am willing to accept offers if that makes the value go down?

Can you post the casting number on the rear driver side flange so we know what the engine is.

I'm actually using a 305 TPI in my '67 C10 build. Mostly because I had it, but I don't feel there is anything wrong with them. Based on the L69 HO engine and you add a nice torquey fuel injection setup.

Unfortunately, people are generally old-school and use a carburetor or if they want fuel injection, they go with an LS. Therefore nobody really wants TPI engines. Personally, I think it's a shame because I think it's a great choice for these trucks.

Re: 350 TPI and 700R4 set-up

it has one of the coolest intakes gm ever produced but I agree with ecna, they are not popular anymore. I would throw it on Craigslist and find someone trying to restore a camaro. best of luck!
