Need help decoding paint code on 66
I've read the sticky and the previous post:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=5194421 But I can't figure out what my original paint code was, it appears to be an off-white, but I am not sure? I know that my truck is a 1966 C-10 LWB Stepside GSA Order Sorry for the snickers bar picture, number is 0780-91640 Last edited by KenAdams; 09-13-2016 at 10:19 AM. |

The last part of that "91640" is the DuPont paint code, which was often called "Federal Grey"

Thanks. My googling came up with nothing. I thought it was super cool that I found out it was a GSA vehicle. I can trace it back to nonmilitary owners in 1987 in Utah, but don't have any idea of its government service.

Interesting that it was sold directly from the GM Plant to the government. I thought all vehicles had to go through a Dealer.
