What do you guys use to hold dipstick tube in.
Like title says my dipstick tube just slides in. Is there a glue of any type to hold it secure I tried silicone to hold it in on last engine. It didn't work well.

I've always used rtv on mine and it works good..you've got to get all the oil off it...you might try laying it on a board or something and tap the tube with a hammer to deform it a little..not to much..just a little..

Some had a tab welded on and bolt to the engine. I did this with mine, I just welded a small tab a manipulated it so it bolts to a manifold bolt , works awesome and will never turn or come out unless unbolted.
