Remove bolt in stepper tailgate?
Tried to remove the tailgate from my stepside.
One bolt simply unscrewed- the other bolt is just spinning without unscrewing. Help, please? Thanks! Dave

The tailgate should be able to come off with just one screw removed. Just pull out the side with the screw removed. If it don't, trying pulling the tailgate out and try to unscrew at the same time.

Of course it would, and did.
I am such a dumbass sometimes... The 'nut' piece inside the tailgate is round, but has a notch cut into it that you can slide a screwdriver into from a hole in the bottom. Thanks for getting me going again! Dave
