Question about leveling my truck

The front of my truck has about 9" between the tire and wheel well and the rear is about 6". I want to get the rear closer to 8-8 1/2" to level the truck out. I don't want to do a shackle flip, so I'm thinking about adding a leaf or two. What do you guys recommend?

Pictures for reference:

Re: Question about leveling my truck

The best way would be to use a arched lift leaf spring to get your needed inches...adding leaves will give you lift...and a much stiffer ride....a spring spacer would work but it also multiplies the axle leverage force towards spring wrap ( happened to a buddy of mine on his toyo)...my vote would be for new springs with addded arch..

Re: Question about leveling my truck

Also in your pics it doesn't look that far off in the first pic..I'm going by what I would call level..the bottom edge of the rockers or the body lines on the bed..in the second pic you have it jacked up higher than level...I assume you are measuring tire to fender.. keep in mind the rear fender openings are lower on the body lines than the front...but if the second pic is what your going for then go for it...

Re: Question about leveling my truck

U could cut a steel block the thickness u need and put it in between the Axle and springs. U might need longer u bolts.

Re: Question about leveling my truck

I believe if you find the right place they rearch your existing springs.

Re: Question about leveling my truck

I think it's a combination of sag in the rear leaf springs and the fact that these trucks were originally set up so the body crease is parallel to the ground, but the front fender cutouts are deeper than the rears.

I did a +2 front and +3 rear lift on my turck to get the fender cutouts the same. The body crease now has a slight downward tilt back to front.

Re: Question about leveling my truck

Yeah, the front wheel well openings are taller than the rears. So if the tire to opening gap is the same front and rear the truck is going to be higher in the back.
