tilt turn signal switch -w/tb

just got a tilt column BUT it needs a new switch assm. -somebody cut the wires about 5" down from the switch& threw it and plug away ! im afraid if i wire in another wire and plug it might look cobbled ?? anyway -does anybody have a new switch assembly ?{ mine is a "round haz. button unit w/screw }any ideas ? thanks

I don't have one for you - but I just wet thru this - most places seem to sell the tilt switch with the red (non-tilt) haz button. If you find one that sells original like yours, I'd like to know where for future ref, so am following this thread. Anyway, I mention only to help you avoid the confusion I had - vendors are selling t/s switches for tilts that work, but they do have the red haz push button on them. Absolutely have to remove the t/s housing collar to install it.

this; to me as much trouble as this is to replace I would put a new one in . much like a heater core. I would not put a 47 year old part in there that is soon to fail. all the aftermarket suppliers have them but they are not exactly stock.
