Pictures needed

Need pictures of original setup tail lights on a 1964 C60 farm truck with hydraulic lift 16 ft bed. I have two lights but they look to have been replaced and am looking to get back to original. Thanks in advance for any help!!

Re: Pictures needed

L79,

I'm not sure there IS such a thing from Chevy. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong about the big trucks, but I think that a lift bed would have NOT been a GM product, but a third party add-on to a Chevy C60 cab-forward.

In other words, to answer your question, I believe it's important to know who manufactured the lift bed.

Re: Pictures needed

they were of the discretion of who ever installed the deck. they also more than likely were replaced several times over the years do to being damaged or rotting away. thees lights would have more than likely have been from a common known manufacturer and available at most truck and parts places'
the selection would have been much narrower then it is now

Re: Pictures needed

Thanks guys, but GM would'nt have sold a chassie to an independant builder without tail lights of some sort would they? Brake lights had to be included with all motor vehicles after a certain date, right? I do agree that those lights, mine are hung below the bed from the undercarriage, do take a lot of abuse and have most likely been changed. Mine have two different styles. But I see your points too. Just looking for a difinitive answer. Thanks again to you both!!

lights were supplied by whoever put whatver on the back. if it got a gravel box that is who installed the lighting. if yt got a trailer, that is who installed the lighting. if it got a flatdeck or a van body that is where the lights came from
remeber your truck is at least 50 years old. things get replaced

Re: Pictures needed

I worked at a place for a short time where they put bodies on trucks.
They did trucks for the Forestry. They did trucks for the county. Tanks, utilities, whatever. They even did firetrucks.
The trucks came with everything but the bed/body. (no tail lights).

Re: Pictures needed

Thanks again everyone who responded! The last post showed some armoured clearence lights that my trucks bed had on it from the maker. I will continue to pursue that company although there were plenty producing farm beds.

Re: Pictures needed

Those are a universal clearance light Used by most body/bed builders of the time ..... http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-NOS-...JXwyKF&vxp=mtr..... Here is another brand I think these were more common http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-DIET...FXEt-v&vxp=mtr

AS for tail lights from GM on a cab and chassis they would have used the "stop and tail lights" shown above Bracketed to the rear of the frame OR a temporary Light Bar just to get it to the Bed builders
