Ball joint question
I replacing the upper and lower ball joints and the control arms in my 1969 GMC C1500. My question is: which is better TRW or MOOG?

Re: Ball joint question
Don't know which is better. I went with Moog on my K10 and so far no problems. Seemed pretty quality.

Re: Ball joint question
If it helps, I only use Moog on all my stuff. Never had a problem with them.

Re: Ball joint question
I bought all my front end parts from Advance Auto here in town. Some of them were Moog, some of them were TRW. Both brands are made by Federal Mogul. I discovered that some of the TRW parts were actually Moog when I opened the boxes. TRW is the lower priced brand, so they are typically made overseas, whereas Moog is made in the USA.

Re: Ball joint question
Yeah, they still make parts here, but not all of them. They're increasingly relying on the foreign manufacturers to fill in the gaps. I have received some non-US moog parts for both my 65 Mustang and 67 C10, as have others on here and the mustang forum I am on.
Any non US parts I got I went back and exchanged and I now check the boxes before I bring them home.

Re: Ball joint question
I want to thank everyone for all of the replies. It looks like Moog got the most votes for quality so I will be going with them. Also a huge bonus that they are American made. Once again thanks for all of the replies.
