I forgot in my last post to add that the motor is a late 70s which hasn't had the hole drilled for the bell crank stud. Someone cut the frame up the frame and moved the bell crank bracket down a length of the bracket to get to the BOLT, yes the bolt..... they screwed into a hole behind the oil filter housing to make it work. I had to drill and tap the boss on the side of the block.
Here's some pics of that: ![]() I bought some drill bit extensions and fresh bits and made it right: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sooooo, I get the bracket move dto the original location and and figure out really qick why it got moved ![]() The manifolds are angled back which puts the exhaust right in the way of the bell crank being able to move fully. To correct that issue, I got these off c. list for $75 so I can get rid of the manifolds. ![]() ![]() |

Things I've done so far:
NOS MR. Gasket shifter for $36 to the door!!!! he,he ![]() ![]() ![]() Installed a hayden variable speed fan controller. Speeds up as the temp rises. I highly recommend it. ![]() ************************************ More to come later........ |
