Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
I don't understand why there needs to be a needle and seat setup in there. Why can't the mechanical pump just pump it full?

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
If not then the fcc would not stay full. Then it would also become a pressure vessel and I am not sure it is designed to live in 7-9 psi. Hope this makes sense

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
Well here is a little update. Sent FCC back to fitech they said float was set wrong and sticking. Said the replaced and ran on there motor with no hose on vent and had no fuel come out. Got FCC back on truck first fire up was good no fuel . Next day crank up and fuel trickling out of vent. Gets worse when driving . Put 20oz bottle on vent hose drive 1mile filed up bottle.

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
I don't understand still why they can't just have a return line going back to the tank on the top of the fcc and eliminate the whole float deal. Seems like the mechanical pump could just fill the vessel and when it's full the return line to the tank from the top of the fcc would make it to where the vessel is never pressurized.
