7 Pin Trailer Connector / Trailer Brakes
As I started to unwrap the rear harness to uncover the unterminated Red and Blue wires needed to install a brake controller I also found an unterminated white wire. Before I start tracing this wire I thought I would ask if anyone knows what this wire is for?
Thank you in advance Darelray |

Re: 7 Pin Trailer Connector / Trailer Brakes
White is used for ground on many trailer harnesses.

Re: 7 Pin Trailer Connector / Trailer Brakes
The small gauge white wire is for a third brake lamp on a cap. The ground for the 7 pin harness would be a large gauge wire. It may not be present, but you can use the ground at the left frame rail.
