72 k20 sending unit

I'm curious if anyone has had problems getting a fuel sending unit for there 72 . Mine does not have evap. And does not have a return . I understand 3/4 and one ton trucks didn't have to have eec or evap. When I look up sending units it asks for manual or automatic trans. What's the difference when it relates to sending units. I try to never rely on pictures but the one for automatic looks like it has a return and the manual does not. My truck is an automatic and does not have a return or evap.anyone else been in my place?
