Cool Lowering front leaf springs?

How many layers are safe to remove to lower a -49 Chevy 3600 truck?

Re: Lowering front leaf springs?

How low are you trying to make your truck sit?

There was a post this spring about someone that bought TF truck with three or more leaf's removed and the result was quite scary. I forget the names involved or I would search out the thread for you and post it here.

I would suggest if it's more than an inch or so you should consider some of the lowering leaf spring kits that are available through, Classic Industries, LMC and/or Ecklers Truck. They don't cost a ton of money and I've seen reviews that say they resulted in a very good "ride" when driving the truck.
