98 WT grill to 88 dual headlight grill

I have a 88 sitting and I want to swap grills. Has anyone gone from 98 wt to 88 dual light setup? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

I know it is done all the time, I just can't remember, especially since you are going from post 95 to a pre 94. Far as I remember you'll need the buckets ( or whole radiator support), headlight wires, grill lights, corner makers, and the lower bumper valance. Hopefully some one else will chime in who remembers the details.

Re: 98 WT grill to 88 dual headlight grill

You want this look?

You will need: wiring, headlight assemblies, and grille of your choice. With regard to the headlights, all of the core supports are the same. The 5x7 lights & buckets you have now sit in the core support itself, spring attaches from one corner to the core support and there is a pair of adjusters clipped in. Here is a pic of a stripped support.

Pull spring, wiggle light bucket assembly out of adjusters, unclip adjusters, core support is now ready to receive the other headlight assembly. There are 8 nuts welded into every core support (4/ea side) that the headlight assemblies bolt to. You may need to knock a small rectangular tab off of them to reveal them. This is what the headlight assemblies look like off of the support.

All of the grilles have the steps in the border around the headlight opening, so it will truly look like they belong there.

EDIT: I'm sorry if the first two pictures don't load. Apparently my photobucket hates me...
