99 key fob
How would i go about getting a new key fob for my 99 silverado. When i bought my truck i never got one from the previous owner. Id like to find out where to get a couple for my truck. Thanks Mark

Ebay! Less than 20 clams a pair. Cant beat the price. Supposed to be uber easy to program too.

Be sure to check your glove box codes to make sure your truck has the Key Fob Remote Entry Option before ordering a pair.

i forgot to look at my truck yesterday for the code. i will today. i just watched a video on how to set a key fob to the truck. that is actually really simple. i thought it would be harder. but its not to bad. now to go look at the truck and find the code and see if i can add key fobs to it.

my 2003 GMC 2500HD does not have the remote option... kinds saddens me
 lolso, the question is... does nayone know WHERE the remote option is located? Is the remote a setting in the ecm or the body control module or is it a seperate computerish component? how can one easily get a non AU0 code truck converted to a AU0 code truck? and i know the default answer is gonna be to install some aftermarket remote/alarm BS kit. i just finally went out and looked at the truck, i do have the AUO code. so looks like ill be getting some key fobs for the truck when i get paid.

any luck? I finally looked at my glove box and i have the AOU code, i ordered my remotes from ebay. I bought 4 because i have 3 trucks and a car that are all missing remotes. i can hope cant i?

I ordered mine 2 weeks ago... been waiting for them patiently to show up... did a tracking this morning to find out where they could be, they were "DELIVERED" last monday... i think someone stole em! i gotta get with ebay and find out what the heck. in the mean time i am ordering another set.

Thanks not a good deal. Sorry about your luck with them coming up missing. Ive had a deal like that before as well ordering off ebay. And some one stole the package out of my mail box. All it was was a pack of resistors and diodes for a cb radio i was working on at the time so no big lose. Only a few dollers. But still the thought behind some one stealing them bugged me for some time.
