'62 In Washington
Hi there,
Just picked up a '62 out of Utah for my wife. Her grandfather had one when she was a kid, and wanted one to remember him by. I'll post pics in a bit.. |

Re: '62 In Washington
Got the burb out for a little run on the 4th, went and stayed at a cabin. Learned a couple things..
This truck likes premium fuel. (detonation on regular) Wipers only work by holding the button in the middle. Fun truck to drive. Lots of room in back. Some pics.. Looks good wet.. Lots of room.. At the campground.. Cabin.. |

Re: '62 In Washington
Plenty of room is right and those barn doors make loading up a snap. Looks like you have the bolt down back seats as opposed to the sliders. Still heavy and cumbersome either way, but it's great you have them all.

I have the 3rd full width seat as well, They have a fresh cloth bowtie design on them that we will be wanting to swap out for a leather or good vinyl

Re: '62 In Washington
Had a friend help cause he has a lift, prob a good thing. Changed the shocks, Ubolts, had some brake lines made. 12 Bolt got new Perches Ubolts and new brake line.. Selectro Hubs.. Modified steering link.. Looking good! And one from the upstairs window.. Truck drives better, has better brake feel and can keep up with highway traffic. Fairly gutless tho, will probably get a V8 sometime next year. |

Re: '62 In Washington
Our plan is to keep it very original looking and at the same time make it capable of cross country drives.
