Score!!!

sorry to brag, but I got everything in this pic...FOR FREE!!!
i'm as happy as a pig in poop

clockwise from top left: really nice pair of high back buckets from a '70s Blazer (only one small rip on driver's seat, foam is good, brackets there, pass. side perfect) in a highly stylish red and white houndstooth ( ), the rear seat from the same Blazer in near perfect shape, SM465 tranny, SM465 to NP205 adaptor (under seat), slip yoke NP205 w/ shifter and linkage.

got them all from member 82 Silverado 4X, a great guy!

oh yeah, I also got the Ford bedmat for free from one of my buddies who decided to flatbed his '78 F-250, it may end up in my truck.

that color is kinda...well, it's pretty retro. a little bit of me actually likes the color. however, I'd like to use a '73-91 blazer console because of the cup holders, I personally think the seatbelt holder idea is kind of dumb. I think I even know where one is in a JY, but they probably want too much for it. What is the going price for a decent condition console? anyone?

Back then we held our Colt 45 malt liquor between the legs and noone used seatbelts anyways.

That pattern will hide all kinds of stains.

As for price, the cupholder style is easier to find. $50 for a driver to upwards of $100 for a real nice one. Your task will be to find the GMC emblem for the console.

You're NOT putting highback buckets in your truck are you? Ewwww! I take back everything nice I ever said about ya!:p

well I got the seats for free, I'm hoping I can put them in so they will be in a comfortable position...since I am 6'4" and 250 lbs, I'd like to have them moved as far back as possible and still have room to be reclined a bit so I won't be sitting straight up. If they will not work then I will stick with the stock full-foamer.

lol, last night I commented about the pattern in the chat room...something like, I could puke on one of these things and not be able to see the stain.

also, the reason I want a cupholder console as opposed to a seatbelt holder is, I can just leave the seatbelts on the seat or the floor. however, you can't do this with cups. I have spilled a full cruiser cup from Taco Bell of raspberry iced tea on the floor, made it a sticky mess. Then did it again with one of Code Red. i'd rather have a cupholder....lol.

GMC production has historically been less than chevy production. Therefore finding a GMC console wll be harder than finding a chevy console. The difference? The emblem. I would not classify it as rare, just less common. You aint gonna retire (just yet)

The cup holders are actually more like 77 to 91. The early ones still had the lap belts and holders.
Sweet score. I have to agree about the color, just a little busy, but still...free is awsome.
