I have a 1974 chevy pickup and I obviously need a new carrier bearing or support bearing.. Not sure what the difference is.. But I am sure which one to pick.. It is my daily so I cant just take it apart and have it un drivable. I'm not too familiar with this kind of stuff. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tmk-hb88508a I found this item. Will this item be fine?

You should be able to get the same one at a local parts store for around the same price. I'd fix it before driving too much, if it comes apart it will cause lots of damage

It looks shifted out of alignment, but it could be just the picture. I'd check rear suspension and engine/ trans mounts to make sure all is happy

Yes I plan on fixing it this weekend. I am ordering a few other parts online and thought i'd just try and find it online but if you guys dont think that part https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tmk-hb88107a will fit than I guess i'll try going to Napa or autozone and finding it

Got mine at Autozone. Mine was a *tight* fit on the driveshaft. I had to find a piece of pipe to drive the new one on.

AZ had a couple different mfg's on the shelf. I ended up with one from National and it was $19. "Lifetime" guarantee.

Make sure you measure your driveshaft. For my '87, there were 2 possible diameters for the inner bearing.

Ya it looks ok. I think I was looking front to back, but backwards. I think. Haha. The last one I bought was around 20-30$ at Napa if I remember right

Sometimes these "steady bearings" can be a real pain to remove. I had to carefully use a cutting torch to remove the last one I did. The inner part of the bearing was seized on the driveshaft.
