Re: Cool Air intake design options

There is some pretty high tech talk going on here with amazing fabrication skills.

I have cut 2 4 inch round holes behind my 56 grille and hope to get a bit of fresh air in to the yet to be purchased crate engine. Not very high tech on my part!

Maybe by spring!!!

I will be following this build.

Re: Cool Air intake design options

You can find deflectors on stock vehicles outin front of the rad support. They basically look like a cap, set off the end of the inlet piping so wet/turbulent/bug or snow filled air cant get drawn straight up the pipe. OEM's also used stream shapers, they look like honeycomb, to get laminar flow of air across maf sensors. Good idea is to place maf at least a few inches from any elbows etc to achieve correct readings.
