My old 88 fell off the jacks once too.... literally. Luckily we were making a run to get parts when it fell, and not under it. Hot summer day and dumb and dumber here forgot to put plywood under the jackstands so the asphalt wouldnt melt
Here are the pics:

dont mean to rob your thread, but heres what that truck looked like, actually pretty sweet i think. Sold her with 160K on the ticker with the original unrebuilt 305. She blew up around 165K with the proud new owner... hehe

With the drop that you are doing a upgraded trac bar is not necessary unless u go lower to about 5inches or lower in the back, but it is always go to upgrade.

72afr,
That wouldn't happen to be a set of those LMC exhaust would it? I like the way your tail pipes exit, more pics if you have em. In the older pics it looks like you had a gas tank mounted under the bed, did you go back to the one in the cab? That truck is awesome Dude!

no actually gsfmech, thats the original exhaust, you cant see it very well, but it all rusted out, for some reason it looks grey in the pictures and the gas tank is still under the bed, put we had to take it out temporarily so that we could tighten up the bed bolts

i thought the same thing when i was looking for one, it had to be a step and for those of you who are interested, we will be putting the filler for the gas tank behind the sidemarker light, following jorgensense's directions

You have to post pix of the gas filler neck location when you are done. Looking great. Keep it up.
