'52 cab and clip on '89 1 ton chassis ?
Has anyone done an AD cab swap onto an '89 era 1 ton chassis ? I bought a rollback with the intention of swapping it onto my '52 6400, but it looks like it might be better to swap the cab onto the 1 ton chassis. Looks like the hydro boost brakes would need to stay on the firewall, rather than moving it to under the floor...same with the hydraulic clutch.

Oh yeah..that's not a uncommon swap..1 1/2 to 2 ton ad cab onto a later model ton chassis...looks like a good cab you got there..

DANG, I like that pic...
So any threads about how to do this ? Issues run into and resolved would save time and frustration.

Its really no different than any other cab chassis swap...their all gonna be a little different depending on how you go about it...youll have to fab up cab mounts and figure it out as you go..I would set the cab on the new frame and block it up with wood..then you can fudge it around to get it where you want it..then build your mounts...and go ffom there
