Exhaust diverter for six in a row
Hello
I have a 1962 c10 235 six. The exhaust diverter is almost totally froze it moves a little with help. Don't want to take it apart what do you guys think? Here is a picture of the position it is in. |

This is a cold driveability aid that heats the fuel/air for better running with a cold engine.
Douche the hell out of it with WD-40, move it back and forth a bunch of times and see if it works. Is the bimetallic spring still intact? |

Ok Guys I used a hose clamp and some 3/4" hex stock to work it free worked great. The bottom pict was taken with a mirror. My question is should the spring be bent around the pin?

Yes!!
It's actually a bi-metallic spring. When it heats up it holds the diverter valve open. |
