Re: 64 Garage Build

Where did you get your 5 lug conversion for the rear end and was it simple to install? I'm debating on how to covert my rear end which is also a 64.

Pick a couple colors you like and ask for a Photoshop with your wheels. Truck is looking great BTW.

The axle are from Yukon Gear and Axle. Length (30 -3/4). Simple to put in. Make sure you measure from tip of shaft to the flange to get a correct measurement. You can get them form CPP, Summit etc. any vendor.

Thanks. Was yours 17 spline or 30 spline axles? I'm trying to see if I can change axles without changing spider gears to 30 spline.

My axle is 30 spline. Think you will have to change the spider gears to match up. Someone chime in if I am wrong.

Thanks HOP. I got the 17 spline. So I'll have to get the whole conversion kit with spider gears. I was trying to do it another way cause I can't find nobody to fill and drill the axles(even Moser wouldn't do it when I called). Truck is looking good and love the wheel choice.
Thanks

Thanks JL. As promised a little update. Took the Ol'Gal out for her first test drive with the neighbors and their girls. 84 IROC , 72 Vette. She ran well had but lost power in 6th gear. Got home checked timing, 8 degrees retard go figure. Advance the timing 8 degrees before TDC and she was extremely happy . I 'll try and get a closer side shot to see if I can get a photo shop of different paint colors. I appreciate the assistance with this build form my neighbors. Solid guys. Not done, but this far in 10 mos. Need a break now.

The marks on the street don't belong to us........
