Wiring new Fuse Block
First off, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing when it comes to anything electrical.
I need to install a new fuse block on my son's truck. if someone could walk me through it, I would greatly appreciate it. I've included pics of the old and new fuse blocks. Everything seems pretty simple except for the things that i've marked on the old fuse block. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Wiring new Fuse Block
cant tell if wire is pink or red.
pink usually means ignition on hot feed. |

Re: Wiring new Fuse Block
Also, I would put a relay or two in there.
the relays would make the panel only hot when the key is on. this way your truck runs less of a risk of burning up when sitting. |

Re: Wiring new Fuse Block
as leonphelps stated - I would run a relay to power your fuse box so it's only hot when the ignition is "ON". Since you wouldn't have an "ACC" or " Battery" the ignition would have to be "ON" for the radio to work & also the instrument lights, tail, brake & running lights but I really don't see where that would be a problem.

Re: Wiring new Fuse Block
I would not run all circuits from a key on source. It is nice to sometimes have your lights, turn signals and 4 ways available without having to have the key on. However I would fuse/breaker those for safety
