Can't speak to it on a 4.3 but I had one on my black 06 ECSB 5.3 and it sounded perfect. Low and deep at idle and aggressive but not raspy WOT. Not much resonance at cruising speeds.

NO louder exhaust than the Factory installed system will sound good on a 4.3L V6.......Or ANY 6 cylinder engine for that matter.

Borla makes good products at an INSANE price!

My first vehicle was a '92 Sierra with a 4.3. I also had a Flowmaster 40 dumped under the bed and LOVED it. Come to think of it, all my high school buddies had trucks with V6's (Dodges, Chevys, Fords) and loud mufflers they all sounded pretty much the same... like a swarm of ticked off bumblebees!

The old thrush "Turbo" mufflers sounded pretty good with an even-fire V6, awful with the odd-fire engines.
Red cherry-bombs make you sound like a UPS truck/Army truck from M.A.S.H.
At least with a single exhaust...

Re: Borla touring cat back ....Any good?

I called Borla and they said they don't make a catback for my rcsb 4.3.... ( but im sure its the same as their 4.8-5.3 kits ) so I went back to Summit and bought the Dynomax super turbo catback... will be here Tuesday, can't wait!

Was going to get a Magnaflow but the Dynomax is half the price and I don t really need a stainless steel exhaust here in the desert...

I just hope its not so obnoxious as the Blowmaster, I'm not 16 and I don't want the attention. .

Blue - interested in how you like it. You get the Dynomax system installed?

Yes I did, I really like it... very easy install, It did come with the cheap clamps so I'm gonna swing by the shop and have the muffler and tip welded on no biggie.

I like the way it sounds now, and from my butt dyno it feels more responsive

Very happy with it.
