Offset emergency brake pedal

Does anyone make an offset emergency brake pedal for a 72? I have speaker pods and the emergency brake pedal is almost touching the grill. I just changed speakers and had to use a spacer so they are even further out now. I currently don't have a grill on it but I'm sure once I put one on it will not clear it. Was thinking about cutting the pedal and spacing it over an inch or so and welding back together if no one makes an offset. Anyone ran into this issue before?

That sounds like a custom fabrication job. Do you have any friends who are competent welders?

I briefly toyed with the idea of kick panel speakers and ran into that problem myself. In my (brief) mockup I was able to shim the whole front of the pedal assembly in and away from the kick panel with washers and a longer bolt (and a new hole up front, but I didn't get that far).

So, depending on how far you need it to go, you might just be able to move it!

Yes. I have several. One of my good friends is a tig welder. Builds custom headers and tanks and such. Mainly for dragbikes but he could easily do it.

I moved my pad over to clear the speaker pod. Very easy to do. I cut the pad off the arm, welded it back on farther over to the right, and then welded in a triangular gusset underneath between the arm and pad to provide added strength for the cantilevered pad. Lastly, modified the rubber pad cover to fit back over the pad. Been working perfectly several years now.

Pics of my offset emergency brake pedal. I moved my high beam floor switch out from under the pod as well.

I need to move the high beam switch too! Almost impossible to get to it lol
