Yep, International Scout II(71-80) and the D series pick-ups had those tail lights.

Cant believe that, such a weird choice. However I really do like them over the traditional ones on most Chevy's.

Re: Can Anyone Identify My Tail Lights?

I remember a lot of custom stuff in the 80's used these tail lights. It's a good looking light, although I may be partial, because I had a Scout II in the 80's (wish I still had one).

Re: Can Anyone Identify My Tail Lights?

I've had good success in bringing back tail lights by sanding and polishing them. Yours are faded enough that not all the color will come back probably. But you can probably get rid of most of that oxidation. Any cracking will probably remain. I think I started with 400 grit sandpaper and worked my way through four or five different grits until I hit 2000. From there I like to use Meguiars plastic cleaner. And then use an automotive polish that you would use on paint. That might bring them back good enough to use for now.

Re: Can Anyone Identify My Tail Lights?

The VHT Nite Shades Red clear tail light spray bomb would get you through until you found some reasonably priced replacements.

According to what I'm finding the 1968 had 'em too. Might be why the lens says 68? Who knows.
