'67c-10 seat swap

I have a 67 c-10 and want to put a 60/40 bench seat in there,if it's possible.
Does anyone out there know if this works? Done it?

Are you thinking of putting in a set with the seat belts built into them?

Are you planning/willing to mess with the steering column length to shorten it if need be?

Yes,that's the ticket right there.
I will be doing this after I move the Tank, it's still in the cab
I am going to need a new steering column at some point anyway,so if I have to get a shorter one that's fine I guess.
If I have to shorten it,you will be hearing from me again. I've never done that before either

I've been debating using the 2003-2006 silverado seats with the belts built in. I took some measurements of one and compared it to the cab of my '72 and it's tight even with the gas tank removed...(which I'm doing as well.)

Also depends if you're a big guy....

It can certainly be done though...there are lots of pictures online and a few threads on the boards talking about that very thing.

I've noticed on a few of them the columns are shorter. Not a look I like but if you don't mind it then you can certainly work around the bigger seats.

The ones where the columns aren't shorter you can see the space from the seat to the wheel.

I see what you mean, and I don't mind the shorter column too much.
It is a long way around for a cup holder really
