Bumper lights-finished product

Finally got the time to make the brackets, put them on, and get them wired. I wired them into the "ignition hot" side of the fuse panel , so that there's no chance of leaving them on.
And here we go with the Aussie photo again

I'm getting tired of this!

J/King

I would hook then up to the head light switch to come on with the parking lights.

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Bumper lights-finished product

Thanks for flipping it, again
That's a great idea with the switch.
I could do that, but one of my peeves on the road is someone using their improperly aimed driving lights when not needed, and blinding everybody they drive past. The main reason for me to put them In was that the roads where I'm moving to are really dark at night, and I like to be able to see things

If that is the case run the wire from the parking light wire at the front connection at the support back to your switch then back to the lights. If you don't need them flip your switch to cut them off.
More wire yes but if on a relay which I hope you used it's just a On/Off wire with no heavy amps on it.
By the way where you moving to? I know you have said but I have forgotten.

Re: Bumper lights-finished product

We're going to be in East Tn, next to the Smokey Mnt NP. I can't wait to get moved up there, as we'll be about a 30 min drive from Maggie Valley NC. I'm going to check that option with the lights to see if I like it. The wiring kit I used is complete and fused, and as it is now, it works great. I checked them in the dark and the light spans about 30ft wide, just what I was wanting to do. The only thing left is to bring down the aim some. You wouldn't happen to know about how far out to have the beam aimed, would you? I'm thinking 25 or30 ft to light the ground.

The aim is your preference. Just don't have it so far out it blinds on coming traffic. I like mine about 10-15 feet out.

I use the brights wire so my driving lights will only come on with the brights. Then when they are switched on, they will come on and off with the dimmer switch when driving. It sucks hitting the dimmer with your foot and hitting the button at the same time in order not to blind on coming traffic. And of course, with fogs you would wire them so they can never come on when brights are on.

Anyhow, nice work.

Andy, thanks, that's what I'm looking to do.
Jeff, that's a great idea too.
