Re: pictures wanted of clearance/roof lights
I just want to say I have no info on this truck...YET
But it has these on it. I'm waiting on the guy to tell me he has it running so I can go buy it.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

69 CST-20.
So were these an option, part of the CST package, or what? My grandfather bought this truck new, and growing up I was always told that when a fleet of 50 or more was purchased, one was provided with lights. Sounds like an urban legend. |

Re: pictures wanted of clearance/roof lights
Great thread. Two dumb questions:
- Can these puppies be added to a non-raised roof cab? (I assume that is what some of the questions about "adding" them are attempting to do - and some of the pics look like they are on non-raised roof cabs) - Does that work? Has anybody that has done that had an leakage issues? (ok, I know that's 3 questions.. sorry) |

Re: pictures wanted of clearance/roof lights
Mine was not raised for them. I have had them on for about 5 years & havn't had any leakeage problems. I drilled 3 small holes for each one & put RTV around the screws & wire. I wired them into the tail lights but put a separate fuse smaller then the tail light fuse so if there was a short it will not put out the tail lights.

Re: pictures wanted of clearance/roof lights
I realize this is an old thread. But........I have a 69 with the roof lights. I didn't mind them at first, but then started to not like them. I found that Harley Davidson taillight lenses fit perfectly. They're much shorter than the stock lenses that I had (hockey puck style as described above). Just thought I'd throw that out here if anyone was looking for a change.

Do you you mean turn signal lenses? I don't think you can use Red lenses on the roof of a non-emergency vehicle. The Harley turn signal lenses have to be modified to work. Here is a thread I posted on the subject back in 2013.... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=598129 LockDoc
