87 fuel senders

I Have An 87 Duel Tank Short bed And I Have 3 Choices
#1 Drop The Tank
#2 Lift The Bed Up
#3 Cut The Bed Open To Get To The Tank Senders
That Would Be Very Easy The Go To Junk Yard Cut Old Bed panels Screw Then On Top Of The 2 Holes, Put The Bed Liner Back Then I'm Done.

I'm 74 And I'm Not Going To Do All That Hard Work
What Do You Folks Think ?

Re: 87 fuel senders

The sender is right under the cab to bed union. There is no easy opening to just cut in the bed to get access. Look down between your bed and cab and you will see the sender.

Pulling the tank is necessary. I pull the bed to pull to the tank. Its proven to be more work but save a lot of frustration for me.

Too bad you were not closer, I would have told you to come by.

I removed and replaced my fuel tank pump in less than 30 min total.

Rubber hose in the tamk normally solves alot of issues.
