Blazer doors
Do all blazer / jimmy doors have that screw on the inside of the door just below the vent window? I know in trucks it's a 72 only thing but it seems like I'm seeing them on all Blazers?
Thanks |

Re: Blazer doors
The 69-71 have a plastic raised ferrule (very hard to find) the 72 has a chrome countersunk ferrule (more common to find).

Re: Blazer doors
It is my understanding that only the 1972 Blazer had the actual screw in the door. When you look to order doors from LMC or Brothers they have separate doors for the 1969-1971 and 72. I had the same question and asked a parts guy I saw at a swap meet and he explained that the screw was placed to keep the vent window from rattling. Anyway that was what I was told. I have a 72 Blazer and only see the screw in that year.

Re: Blazer doors
The 69-71 with the raised ferrule is just a drilled hole in the door easy do duplicate. The 72 with the countersunk ferrule the hole in the door is actually countersunk also would be hard to duplicate (guess that is why the have it stamped in when making the door).
