Re: Oem mini starter swap
I've used mini starters on a sbc & have one on the BBC in my 89 CC dually. They both work/worked great.
I recently had to change the starter on my 90swb's 4.3 so I got one for it. Internet searching came up w/a p/n (model) for an OE one spec'd for a later model motor. It did not work. Sounded like an old Chrysler starter. It would start it but sounded sick, very sick. Wound up going w/the factory replacement starter while I research the mini options a little more.
