Question about seat that folds forward......

I just got a blazer, been working on it, and noticed that the passenger seat that folds forward so you can get in the back does not lock down. It folds/pivets forward, and has the hardware with the latch, but there is nothing for it to latch into.
Is there a bracket I can buy, or is it welded to the floor?

Re: Question about seat that folds forward......

They are missing the seat backs. someone glued carpet to the backs, but of course the carpet is falling off and they look like hell. I would like to get rid of the carpet and install correct seat backs, but am trying to make the truck safe to drive right now and I think a passenger seat that launches the passenger forward if I stop hard is kinda important to fix.
I really have not looked at the seat backs that close but I don't see anyplace to screw or attach a seat back. So I don't know.

Can you post a pic of the latch on your seat?

I happen to have a floor latch mount, but I need to determine which seats you have to see if it will work

Re: Question about seat that folds forward......

I do not have the "utility" seats. I guess the Utility seats are more square and have metal backs. My seats look like they are tapered and would take a plastic back. Not sure what they are called.

well, if you could take a pic of your latch mechanism, maybe I could figure it out from there

Re: Question about seat that folds forward......

I found a guy back east and he is shipping the part I need. Still don't know what it is called, but the photo he had looks like what I need.
