Brakd bleeding/Proportioning valve
Valve has a pin on the end and I hold that in w/ a "C" clamp while bleeding the brakes. Is this correct? Saw a thread s few days ago (can't find it) which says I should use a shim gizmo and loosen a bolt to slip it in and it goes under the mounting bolt,to hold the valve open?? I do not understand. Just put all new lines in and it is pulling to the right. Thinking; I will try to rebleed the brakes.
Thank you for your help. I mean (Brake bleeding) won't let me edit the title. Last edited by akart; 11-22-2016 at 06:24 PM. Reason: miss SP |

Re: Brakd bleeding/Proportioning valve
You can use whatever you want to keep that pin depressed while you bleed the brakes.
The "shim gizmo" is GM Kent Moore J-23709 super special mystery tool. It's not rocket science to make one and the homemade version doesn't cost $20 + shipping. Try this thread---->http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=722308
