I recently got a certified 9000# two post for that reason and have my truck up and wife's car under, it's resting on the locks. Didn't want a four post as i want to use it for lifting cabs/rears and such. Need to pull the rear tires for clearance. Am I playing with fire here?

I don't like to leave anything on my lift for a long period of time, not more than a few days at a time or so. Doesn't mean it isn't safe or possible, just my policy.
